晨炊未登盤，
The morning meal is not yet prepared,
饑腸已戚戚。
but the hungry stomach already feels desolate.
欲問堂上人，
I want to ask the people in the hall,
先聞發嘆息。
but first I hear their sighs.
茍念一餉饑，
If one thinks of the hungry,
況艱終歲食。
how much more difficult it must be to eat throughout the year.
茫茫九州間，
In the vast land of the Nine States,
幾人悲罄室。
how many people are lamenting their empty houses.
吾欲呼天工，
I want to call upon the divine creator,
驅雷駕云龍。
to drive the thunder and control the dragons in the sky.
十日一風雨，
If every ten days there is wind and rain,
五谷千常豐。
then the five grains will always be abundant.
佩刀化為農，
Even with a sword at my side, I become a farmer,
孫哺百歲翁。
providing for my elderly parents.
完助陰陽功，
With complete devotion to the balance of yin and yang,
不顧吾盤空。
I pay no attention to my empty plate.

雜詩

chén chuī wèi dēng pán, jī cháng yǐ qī qī.
晨炊未登盤，饑腸已戚戚。
yù wèn táng shàng rén, xiān wén fā tàn xī.
欲問堂上人，先聞發歎息。
gǒu niàn yī xiǎng jī, kuàng jiān zhōng suì shí.
茍念一餉饑，況艱終歲食。
máng máng jiǔ zhōu jiān, jǐ rén bēi qìng shì.
茫茫九州間，幾人悲罄室。
wú yù hū tiān gōng, qū léi jià yún lóng.
吾欲呼天工，驅雷駕云龍。
shí rì yī fēng yǔ, wǔ gǔ qiān cháng fēng.
十日一風雨，五谷千常豐。
pèi dāo huà wéi nóng, sūn bǔ bǎi suì wēng.
佩刀化為農，孫哺百歲翁。
wán zhù yīn yáng gōng, bù gù wú pán kōng.
