宴湖上亭作

廣亭蓋小湖，湖亭實清曠。
The spacious pavilion covers a small lake, and the lake pavilion is truly open and clear.

軒窗幽水石，怪異尤難狀。
The elegant windows reveal the secluded water and rocks, which are especially strange and difficult to describe.

石尊能寒酒，寒水宜初漲。
The stone statues can chill the wine, and the cold water should be filled at first.

岸曲坐客稀，杯浮上搖漾。
The curved bank is adorned by few seated guests, their cups floating and rocking on the water's surface.

遠水入簾幕，淅瀝吹酒舫。
The distant water enters the curtains, dripping soundly onto the wine boat.

欲去未回時，飄飄正堪望。
Before leaving, I can't help but look around, feeling light as if floating.

酣興思共醉，促酒更相向。
Inebriated with joy, we all indulge in thoughts, urging each other to drink more.

舫去若驚鳧，溶瀛滿湖浪。
As the boat departs, it startles the ducks, and the vast lake waves blend together.

朝來暮忘返，暮歸獨惆悵。
From dawn till dusk, I forget to return; when evening comes, I feel lonely and desolate.

誰肯愛林泉，從吾老湖上。
Who would be willing to appreciate the woods and springs with me, to accompany me as I grow old on this lake?

guǎng tíng gài xiǎo hú, hú tíng shí qīng kuàng.

shí zūn néng hán jiǔ, hán shuǐ yí chū zhǎng.
